Yamaha YZF-R1 2012

Yamaha has presented the YZF-R1 2012 Edition with interesting changes in the chassis and the engine, clearly inspired by the experience of the Japanese firm in the world of MotoGP. These modifications have outdated it to substantially increase the performance of this machine in highway both circuit.

The new YZF-R1 rolls with a 998 cc engine and four-cylinder equipped with an innovative “crossplane” crankshaft line, which will provide you with an enormous capacity for linear power, superior traction, and an exceptional response especially in more closed timelike curves. Unlike the traditional designs of crankshaft with pistons and rods of coupling that rise and fall, this transverse crankshaft has a range of on uneven graduation, that each piston and Rod move separately. This asymmetric technology generates a phased move of rods, which allow foster stronger motorcycle, as well as increased capacity of linear pair for a higher traction.

Nor can we forget that it will be equipped with a new system of six modes traction control and engine control unit optimized for best output in curves and more power at low speeds. On the other hand, a remodelled front bodywork accentuates the real competitor this Yamaha, perfect character for communion between a demanding pilot and your machine.
